Although political commentator Katie Pavlich is widely recognized for her work on Fox News and her bestselling books, many people are equally curious about the man she married.
Katie Pavlich has been married to Gavriel Friedson, who has built an impressive career of his own, which is centered on emergency medical response, humanitarian aid, and international public service.
Unlike many spouses of television personalities, Friedson has largely stayed away from the entertainment spotlight. But if you are curious who Katie Pavlich’s husband, Gavriel Friedson, is, then this article is for you!
Who Is Gavriel Friedson?
Gavriel, who is known to the public as Katie’s husband, has built a reputation through years of humanitarian service, emergency medicine, and international disaster response.
He is the Director of International Emergency Management and Global Ambassador for United Hatzalah of Israel, which is one of the world’s most recognized volunteer emergency medical organizations.
Gavriel is a respected leader in disaster preparedness rather than a traditional public figure, with his role that combines emergency response, international partnerships, crisis management, and humanitarian diplomacy.
According to Gavriel’s LinkedIn, he has been working at United Hatzalah of Israel since 2008.
His career has taken him from responding to terrorist attacks and mass-casualty incidents in Israel to leading humanitarian missions after devastating hurricanes in the United States and assisting with refugee evacuations during the war in Ukraine.

Long before becoming known as Katie Pavlich’s husband, Gavriel, aka Gavy, had already begun building a career centered on public service.
Raised in Israel after being born in the United States, Friedson was introduced early to the importance of community emergency response.
Instead of waiting until adulthood to pursue medicine or public safety, he began volunteering with Israeli rescue organizations. He was a volunteer for the Israel Police Department for almost two years from January 2006 to July 2007. He was also a firefighter at Jerusalem Fire Department from July 2005 to July 2007.
Similarly, Gavy was a first responder at Magen David Adom in Israel from June 2004 to December 2009.
Over the following two decades, Friedson dedicated thousands of hours to emergency response, eventually participating in many medical emergencies ranging from cardiac arrests and traffic collisions to terrorist attacks, natural disasters, and large-scale humanitarian crises.
Gavriel Friedson Education
While Friedson gained invaluable experience in the field, he also pursued higher education to strengthen his expertise in communications and disaster management.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Reichman University (formerly IDC Herzliya), where he studied strategic communication, media relations, and public affairs from 2011 to 2014.
Recognizing the growing importance of crisis leadership, he later completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Tel Aviv University, specializing in Crisis, Emergency, and Disaster Management in 2015.
